Hello Business Owner!

Thank you for considering Open Air Business Market 2025! We are excited to welcome applications from:

  • Amherstburg-based brick-and-mortar businesses located outside of the downtown core.
  • Businesses from across Windsor and Essex County that want to be part of this vibrant event. 

Third-party consultant sellers are not eligible to apply. 

Spaces are limited, and applications will be reviewed to ensure a diverse and engaging mix of vendors. Preference will be given to businesses that offer interactive experiences - such as takeaways, fun games, or hands-on activities.

2025 will bring 7 weekends with Friday-only night markets, and 4 weekends with 3-day vendor markets, and 2 weekends with a two-day market

  • Weekend Markets
    • Set Up: 11am - 12pm Saturday & Sunday, and Takedown at 8pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday.
  • You are not guaranteed the same booth location weekly.
  • This is a rain-or-shine event. If weather becomes a safety risk, we will notify you as soon as possible. Refunds are not provided.
  • Refunds are not provided for businesses who do not show up for their scheduled date

    Weekend Vendor Cost for 10X10 space - 3 days
  • Fee is $100/weekend for businesses located across Windsor and Essex County and not within Amherstburg boundaries - Weekend Vendors must attend all days (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Please note we will have overnight security, but leaving anything of value at your own risk.
  • An invoice will be emailed to you upon notification of approval of the application. 
  • Cheques can be made out to Town of Amherstburg and mailed to: Economic Development,Tourism and Culture Dept., 271 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg ON, N9V 2A5.

Logistics

  • Electrical Usage
    • Electricity will be limited and will cost $50 per day.  Please indicate below your needs. You must provide your own extension cords (100 feet). 
  • Booth Space
    • 10 x 10
    • Must bring your own: Tables, chairs, tents, weights and personal garbage cans.
    • Each business is responsible for setting up their own booth and will be provided one 10ft x 10ft outdoor space. If using a tent it must have weights. It can get windy.
  • Washrooms
    • Washroom facilities are onsite.
  • Board of Health
    • All food businesses must be in compliance with all Board of Health codes. Please visit Windsor Essex Health Unit for additional information.
  • Parking
    • Street Parking

  • Certificate of Insurance Required 
    • Please provide a certificate of insurance with the Town of Amherstburg as additionally insured for the dates of your participation. This will be required before your weekend date. The address is Amherstburg 271 Sandwich St. South N9V 2A5 (Typically, this is at no additional cost to the business through their insurance provider)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

As a condition of completing this application, the Business acknowledges and agrees to the following terms. 
1. The corporation of the Town of Amherstburg has the sole and absolute discretion to determine whether or not the business may be permitted to operate at Open Air Business Markets.  
2. The business shall comply with all of the terms and conditions outlined herein, as well as the By-laws of the corporation of the Town of Amherstburg and regulations regarding the operations of the business at Open Air Business Markets in accordance with the statutes of Ontario. 
3. The corporation of the Town of Amherstburg may, in its sole and absolute discretion, revoke any prior expressed permission provided to the business regarding operations at Open Air Business Markets.  
4. The business authorizes the corporation of the Town of Amherstburg to make any investigation regarding this application and further authorizes the release of records and information to the corporation of the Town of Amherstburg provided such information is recieved and discussed confidentially. 
5. The personal information on this application is collected under authority of the Municipal Act (Ontario), and the information will be used for the purpose of processing such application. Questions about the collection of personal information should be directed to the Town of Amherstburg, which may be contacted by telephone 519-736-0012. 
6. If granted permission to operate at Open Air Business Markets, the business shall leave the premises of the special event in a clean, litter-free, and damage-free condition. Futhermore, if the business does not leave the premises of Open Air Business Markets in such condition, the corporation of the Town of Amherstburg shall repair such premises at the expense of the business. 
7. The business shall not assign or otherwise transfer to any third party any rights provided by the Corporation of the Town of Amherstburg that may emanate from this application.  
8. The business shall release and forever discharge the corporation of the Town of Amherstburg together with its officers, elected officials, servants, representatives, volunteers, agents and employees jointly and severally from any and all actions, causes of actions, convenants, whether express or implied, claims and demands for damages, indemnity, costs, interests, loss or injury of every nature and kind whatsoever and howsoever arising, which the business may heretofore have had, may now have or may hereinafter have against the aforesaid parties for or by reason of any cause, matter or thing whatsoever existing up to the present time, including without limitation, anything relating to this application or the business' operations at Open Air Business Markets.   

By signing below, I hereby acknowledge that I have completely read and fully understand the terms and conditions of this application and that I have authority to sign on belhalf of the business.
