Welcome to Farm Fest Pie Contest

Sunday August 17, 2025

• 1pm - Pie Drop-off
• 2pm - 3pm - Pie Judging
• 3pm - Winners Announced

Location: Amherstburg's Open Air Stage(in front of the clock tower at the corner of Richmond and Dalhousie Streets)

Eligibility - Open to home and professional bakers

Must pre-register prior to August 8, 2025

Entry fee

• $20 per pie for Professional Division
• $10 per pie for At-Home Baker Division

Rules:

1.  Pie must be handmade from scratch(crust and filling)

2.  Only Peach or Cherry Pies allowed (no hybrids or other fruits)

3.  Must be baked in standard 9inch pie pan

4.  No perishable toppings (i.e. whipped cream) for food safety

5.  Pies must be delivered with an entry form and labeled container

Judging:  Pies will be judged on appearance, crust, filling and overall taste.

Prizes

Professional Division:

• 1st Place - Plaque + $200 Gift Card + social media spotlight
• 2nd Place - $100 Gift Card
• 3rd Place - $50 Gift Card

At Home Baker Division:

• 1st Place - Ribbon + $100 Gift Card + Social Media Spotlight
• 2nd Place - $50 Gift Card
• 3rd Place - $25 Gift Card

Please fill out all the information below and submit before 4:30pm on August 8, 2025. Physical copies of the form are available at Town Hall and the Gordon House.

Once you hit submit, all the information is forwarded to us and you can come in to the Gordon House at 266 Dalhousie St. to pay your entry fee by cash, debit or credit. For accommodations, please call the Gordon House at 519-730-1309.

Individual Participant Releases 

As a participant of Amherstburg Open Air Weekends, I hold harmless the Town of Amherstburg and their agents, employees or volunteers against all claims of personal injury or property damage arising out of participation in this event.  (In the case of minors under the age of 18, a parent or guardian’s signature is required.)

I confirm that my pie is fully handmade (crust and filling)

I will deliver my pie in a labelled container by 1:00pm on August 17, 2025 to the Clock Tower at the corner of Dalhousie and Richmond Streets

I agree to abide by all contest rules and allow my name and photos to be used in promotional materials
