Amherstburg Uncommon

Participant Regulations and Guidelines

  • Festival Date and Times
    • September 19 5pm-10pm, September 20 12pm-10pm & September 21 12pm-6pm
  • Location
    • Richmond,  Dalhousie and Murray street.
  • Set Up and Tear Down Schedule
    • Set up will take place Friday Sept. 19, 3pm-5pm. The vehicles will not be allowed in the tent area so please bring trolleys to help you with load in of product.
    • Vendor must be open for business during all festival dates and times.
    • Security will be provided overnight Friday & Saturday night. (Town of Amherstburg will not be held responsible for any lost or stolen items)
    • Tear Down can begin Sunday Sept. 21 at 6pm and must be completed by 8pm.
  • Vendor Cost
    • $200 for the weekend.
    • A donation of an item of your work is required to be used as a prize at the event.
  • Vendor Guidelines
    • Exhibitors must provide their owns tents, displays, booths, chairs, tables, CSA approved lights and extension cords (100 ft or longer), etc.
    • Tents must be of fire retardant material and all structures of sound construction, able to withstand inclement weather and present no danger to life or health. The tents will be set up on the road, therefore weights will be required to secure them. 
  •  Insurance
    • The Town of Amherstburg must be additionally insured for the 3 days of the festival on your insurance policy with a minumum amount of $2,000,000. Address to be indicated on insurance policy: Town of Amherstburg, 271 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg ON, N9V 2A5 
  • Liability Agreement
    • As a vendor I agree to save harmless and forever indemnify The Corporation of the Town of Amherstburg, its employees, officers, agents and contractors from all manner of actions, claims, demands, damages, interest, and costs, including the cost of defending all actions on a solicitor and own client basis, howsoever arising from the presence, use or operation by the undersigned on or near the streets of the Town of Amherstburg for the purpose of the event set out on this form, save and except, those actions, claims, demand, damages, interest and cost arising from the deliberate acts or the gross negligence of The Corporation of the Town of Amherstburg or its employees, officers, agents or contractors.

    • Public washrooms will be located within the festival grounds.

Please note; the application does not gaurantee participation until all criteria (including sutability to event theme*) is met as outlined in the guidelines of this document.  You will be contacted by July 18, 2025 to confirm the status of your application. An invoice for the vendor location will follow.

*Theme of Amherstburg Uncommon is Steampunk/Wizardry.  Amherstburg Uncommon is open to quality exhibitors or vendors who wish to make available for purchase or enjoyment Steampunk and/or wizardry-themed works, merchandise or services as approved by the Town of Amherstburg. All vendors must submit 4 photos of your wares so that we may determine if your business is appropriate for our audience and theme.
